ZSAES conducts regular surveys of important sugarcane pests and diseases across the whole sugarcane industry in Zimbabwe. This serves as an early warning system to assist growers in devising appropriate control strategies. Survey results also guide researchers into directing their efforts against identified and important pests and diseases and suggesting alternative ways of managing them.
