ZSAES runs a plant breeding program with a responsibility to provide broadly adapted varieties of sugarcane. Currently, they are 14 commercial varieties. these varieties are stable, have good ratoonability, tolerance to important pests and diseases and adaptable across a wide range of agro-climatic environments.
